Smart Irrigation and Fertigation System for Estonian Refugee Council

Smart Green is proud to announce our collaboration with the Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) on a groundbreaking project to implement a comprehensive Smart Irrigation and Fertigation System. This innovative system utilizes remote sensing technology to optimize the management of 8 hydroponic greenhouses, each cultivating a diverse range of crops, including strawberries, cauliflower, parsley, iceberg lettuce, and more.

  • Integrated System: Our system provides a unified solution for irrigation and fertigation, ensuring precise control over water and nutrient delivery.
  • Remote Sensing Technology: Advanced sensors and data analytics enable real-time monitoring and adjustments, optimizing resource efficiency.
  • Diverse Crop Cultivation: The greenhouses utilize various soilless cultures, including cocopeat, volcanic tuff, NFT systems, raft systems, and traditional methods, to accommodate a wide range of crops.
  • Personalized Management: Each greenhouse can be independently managed, with customized irrigation schedules and nutrient recipes tailored to specific crop requirements.

Turnkey Project (Hydroponics and Aquaculture)

Smart Green is proud to showcase our turnkey project, implemented in collaboration with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as part of the Smart Desert initiative. This demonstration farm aimed to automate agribusiness and enhance farmer productivity by integrating hydroponics and aquaculture.

Key Achievements:

  • Innovative System Design: Smart Green designed and implemented a comprehensive hydroponic and aquaculture system featuring smart irrigation, fertigation, a greenhouse, soilless cultivation (volcanic tuff), and aquaponics (carp juveniles).
  • Successful Crop Cultivation: The farmer cultivated high-quality iceberg lettuce and cucumber using the hydroponic system, demonstrating the potential of this technology for efficient and productive agriculture.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The system incorporates a bilingual, user-friendly interface, making it accessible to farmers of all backgrounds.
