We’re Smart Green, a Canadian AgriTech company built for the field, not just the lab.
We design AI- and IoT-powered systems that give farmers real control over every drop of water, every gram of fertilizer, and every watt of energy their farm consumes. Headquartered in Montréal and founded in 2020, we set out to solve one of agriculture’s hardest challenges: growing more with less, in the environments that need it most.
Today our technology runs across Canada, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and the wider region, proven in some of the world’s most demanding climates.
Who We Are
Smart Green pairs deep engineering with real fieldwork. We don’t build technology in isolation, we build it alongside the farmers who depend on it, in the conditions they actually face. The impact is measurable: 100+ farms served, over 500,000 m³ of water saved, and up to 30% less water use in open fields, even more in closed systems.
We’ve delivered projects with UNDP, the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), and USAID; been selected for acceleration programs by PepsiCo, CEWAS, and GGGI; and partnered with BrioAgro (Spain). Our water innovation earned us recognition as Aqua Ambassadors by AquaAction Canada, and was showcased at the Innovation Hub in Brussels as a solution to water scarcity in the world’s most water-stressed regions.
